Eine Novelle aus Hoffmanns berühmtem Erzählband "Nachtstücke": In der ersten Erzählung unterhält sich der Enthusiast mit dem Doktor und dem Kapellmeister über das Mädchen Bettina. Sie verlor ihre Singstimme, da sie während des Sanctus, also während eines Gottesdienstes, die Kirche verlassen wollte und nun scheinbar zur Strafe ihre Stimme einbüßen musste. Die zweite Erzählung des Enthusiasten handelt von dem Krieg zwischen den Spaniern und Mauren.-
About the author
E. T. A. Hoffmann (1776-1822) war nicht nur ein deutscher Schriftsteller der Romantik, sondern auch Musiker und Zeichner. Mit dem Schreiben begann er während seiner Zeit als Kapellmeister in Bamberg. Zu seinen wichtigsten Werken gehören u.a. "Fantasiestücke in Callots Manier" sowie seine "Nachtstücke", deren bekannteste Erzählung "Der Sandmann" ist.
