Dave Canterbury is one of my favourite bushcrafters and has a wonderful dogmatic no BS instructional approach. I would say this book is more useful to an intermediate to advanced bushcrafter as a reference. The book itself has very limited illustrations , many of the concepts explained within would be difficult for a beginner to grasp through the written word alone, so I feel this book would be of limited use for someone new to bushcrafting without having to use another reference source.
