David Kingdon is Emeritus Professor of Mental Health Care Delivery, University of Southampton, and formerly honorary consultant psychiatrist, Southampton and Nottinghamshire. He has also worked in the Department of Health, with the Council of Europe and as a Medical Director. He has published over 150 peer reviewed papers and authored/edited a dozen books on CBT, psychosis, ethics and managing crises for professionals, patients and carers which have been translated into more than a dozen languages.
Paul Rowlands is a Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist at Derbyshire Healthcare NHS FT. He has worked within in-patient and community settings as a consultant for over twenty-six years, covering a geographic 'neighbourhood'. He has been involved in the Post-Graduate training of Psychiatrists for many years, including seven years as Head of the School of Psychiatry for Yorkshire and the Humber. He has been involved with the General Adult Faculty of the Royal College of Psychiatrists as an elected member, Vice –Chair and Interim Chair, contributing to numerous reports.
George Stein has worked as a community psychiatrist in South East London for twenty-five years and ran the perinatal service for his district. He was regional advisor for South east Thames for five years and served on the board of the British Journal of Psychiatry for fifteen years. He has published papers on Lithium, perinatal psychiatry, personality disorder and has recently completed a large book on the Psychiatry of the Old testament. He was co-editor of the first two editions of Seminars in General Adult Psychiatry.
