I was born a poor black and white child in New York City on August 24th,1962 to Simeon and Jessica Wright. I grew up in NYC, Brooklyn, Queens and Huntington. It's weird writing about yourself but, I'll press on. My parents divorced when I was still a baby so, I never knew them as husband and wife. I lived with my mom until I was three, my paternal grandmother until I was seven, my mother again until I was 13, and my father until I graduated from high school. I don't know if moving around had a negative impact on my life but, I managed to plow through. I was not the best the student and I got into some trouble but never enough to go to jail. Therapy yes, jail no. I graduated from high school, college and grad school so, I did okay on the education front. As for my grownup life I am a husband and father and I work for the Board of Elections of Nassau County. I was on the Board of Education for the Locust Valley School District and I am currently the President of the North Oyster Bay Democratic Club.
