About this eBook

Psychic Sookie Stackhouse has her hands full with an amnesiac vampire in the fourth seductive novel in the #1 New York Times bestselling series—the inspiration for the HBO® original series True Blood.

When cocktail waitress Sookie Stackhouse sees a naked man on the side of the road, she doesn’t just drive on by. Turns out the poor thing hasn’t a clue who he is, but Sookie does. It’s the vampire Eric Northman—but now he’s a kinder, gentler Eric. And a scared Eric, because whoever took his memory now wants his life.

Sookie’s investigation into why leads straight into a dangerous battle among witches, vampires, and werewolves. But a greater danger could be to Sookie’s heart—because the kinder, gentler Eric is very difficult to resist...

A friend of mine bought me the set from a thrift store and assured me I would love it. After being disappointed at the way the twilight series made the vampires so emo, I wasn't sure I would like it. I was Dead Wrong! This ranks at the top of my list with Anne Rice. There is never a dull moment for poor Sookie. I cannot wait to see what happens next!

Dead to the world is without a doubt my favorite of the series thus far. I absolutely fell in love with Eric...*sigh* Pam is in this one a lot more than the last three, and she hasn't gotten any less amazing. Sookie also cries a lot less. I also starting to really love Sam, what a great guy. Heck, I pretty much love all of the characters and how their lives are developing and unfolding. With the exception of Vampire Bill, who I just don't enjoy reading about. But thank goodness he is out of the country during most of the book.

This is an amazing story. I absolutely love the direction that the author took this one in. This one involves the heart even more. Poor sookie. All I want for her is some rest and relaxation. The world expands even more and I love the way it interacts with some of my favorite characters. The characters are so wonderful, sometimes I wish I could go live in Bon Temps. Absolutely lovely book.
