About this ebook

Dying sucks for everyone, but for Selene there are added complications.

Becoming one of the Awakened, a group of godlike beings, should have been the end of Selene's worries. Instead, dangerous people who want the secrets she hid away in a past incarnation are hunting her, and every time Selene uses her abilities she pays a price—losing memories that are impossible to get back.

Jace, Selene's hunky ex, has promised to protect her, but when Selene is kidnapped by Jace's brother Kyle—who she was married to before Jace came into the picture—things get strained.

Without Kyle's help, Selene can't save the people she cares about, but trusting Kyle could have unfortunate consequences.

Publisher's Note: Immortal is a YA Paranormal Romance book, and is the second novel in The Awakening a series of clean books featuring fairies and demigods, which have been written so that they can be safely enjoyed by both teens and adults. Readers new to The Awakening should start with Reborn, one of several YA books available from Dean.

I think I fell more in love with the characters in this book than I did in the first book. I loved it!! I absolutely love Kyle, even though he has his moments of crazy. I enjoyed reading what the characters; Selene was going through with Kyle and Jace. I'm excited for the next book. Sorry I'm not a spoiler, if I start talking about what happened you would never need to read these books! I received a free copy of this book in return for a fair and honest review.

Just when I was really getting into Jace and Selene as characters and hoping to find out more about Ari Kat and Peter, everything got turned upside down and everything fixates on Kyle the new character almost too much, but not quite, continues on book one well and sets up book three very well. After reading all three I still want to somehow go back to the world of book one though and learn more about those characters and the journals, etcetera. Smiles. Also hopefully they can fix Sandra and Kyle not just Kyle someday. And I don't know why, but something keeps telling me Ari will eventually awaken too at some point after the end of the third book so hopefully they get her out of her funk. Also, hopefully Kat will default to joy someday. Also something crucial was overlooked by everyone in the book 3last fight involving fairy creation I suspect. Sorry some of this is in wrong review but ran out of room in book3/series review.

About the author

Dean Murray discovered the joys of reading at a young age and unknowingly ingested large doses of romance along with his science fiction and fantasy. By the time he realized what had happened it was too late to reverse the process and he spent his formative years (while his peers were still convinced that girls had cooties) trying to convince one specific girl to be his girlfriend to no avail.
As fate would have it, he's incredibly grateful that he failed in his attempts in second grade because it meant that he was able to eventually find his real happily ever after with his wife Katie to whom he's been happily married for more than six years.
Dean is the author of dozens of novels which collectively have more than half a million copies in circulation, and he's currently writing six books a year in an effort to create the perfect, larger than life romance story—which he's pretty sure involves either vampire, werewolves, fairies or shape shifters.
