The Wolf’s New Year Bride by Deanna Chase is A Witch Island Brides Short Story. Frankie Franklyn owns Spell Bound on Witch Island. Frankie just finished decorating a wedding cake when it starts to topple, and she manages to grab it. She needs assistance getting it back in place and it comes in the unexpected form of Aron D’Angelo. Frankie has not seen or heard from him in twelve months since he walked out on her right before their wedding. Aron has now returned and is getting married the next day (that bites). Frankie has seen of a vision of him in the wedding meadow. However, Frankie does not know the whole story. Everything is not as it appears. Will the wedding happen as planned or will something unexpected occur? The Wolf’s New Year Bride is an entertaining story. The book is set on Witch Island which is a wedding destination for paranormals. The wedding meadow sounds beautiful especially for a Winter Solstice wedding. I thought the book was nicely written, had a steady pace and is entertaining. I liked the variety of characters with my favorite being Heather Jean Mansfield, the ghost who haunts Frankie’s bookshop. The Wolf’s New Year Bride does contain an out of control make out session on the purple couch in Spell Bound (let me just say that you should not be mooned in a bookstore). There are many humorous moments in the book that will have you laughing out loud. The Wolf’s New Year Bride is an amusing short story that will have you begging for more.

This is a cute, short introduction to Witch Island to me. It was a fun book to read. Frankie is who our first story is about. She is a great person to start with. She was in love a year ago with hottie Aron. They had a fling that Frankie thought was going to last. Surprisingly he is there to get married. To someone else. I was hopping this book would have a happy ending. I laughed out loud at so many parts. Frankie has a lot to deal with and has no clue what is going on around her. I am glad that Aron didn't let things drag out. They both needed this to go well. I love a good wedding and this one was no disappointment. I am happy with how things ended and look forward to seeing where this series takes me

I will not pay this amount for 75 pages no matter how good the book is.
