About this eBook

Best friends, a crafty killer, and an ice-cold mystery…

When Leia Peterson discovers a forgotten box filled with childhood wishes, she knows exactly how to honor her late friend’s memory—by making one last wish come true. With her best friend, Kat, by her side (and their lucky tacky earrings for good measure), Leia trades her sensible Seattle life for a weekend at the Northern Magic Ice Festival, where a hotel carved entirely from ice promises the adventure of a lifetime.

But their whimsical winter getaway takes a sinister turn when the festival’s star—the legendary “Ice King”—vanishes during the signature sculpting competition. Between suspicious “accidents” and sabotaged sculptures, it’s clear someone’s determined to keep the remaining ice artists from claiming the prize.

Armed with nothing but their wits and their warmest winter boots, Kat and Leia find themselves tracking a killer through snowy landscapes and frozen corridors. Their suspect list is as slippery as ice, and each new clue leads them deeper into the hotel’s glittering maze. With the body count rising and time running out, these unlikely detectives are about to prove that best friends make the best crime-solving team.

An ice hotel in frozen Minnesota with a nearly tragic accident at an ice carving competition starts this story, and it gets wilder from there. I've only read the sample so far, but I look forward to buying the book.

About the author

After writing Death at the Ice Hotel, New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Angie Fox now has photographic proof that a person really can get stuck on an ice slide. She prides herself in taking one for the team.

When she’s not off on adventures, Angie writes sweet, fun, action-packed mysteries. Her characters are clever and fearless, but in real life, Angie is afraid of basements, bees, and going up stairs when it's dark behind her. Let’s face it: Angie wouldn’t last five minutes in one of her books.

Angie is best known for the SOUTHERN SPIRITS™ series, the Monster MASH series, and for her BIKER WITCHES / ACCIDENTAL DEMON SLAYER books. Visit her at www.angiefox.com.

Kristin has been writing critically acclaimed adventure-fantasy novels for young teens since 2013. With books described as “Tender and magical,” now she has found her way home to her favorite genre since childhood, mystery.

When she is not figuring out how to kill people and not get away with it, she enjoys filling every spare cabinet with crafting supplies, learning languages, tending her large vegetable garden, birdwatching, pampering her mustang mare, and posting funny pictures of her cats online.
