Without Words

***4 Stars*** Ahhh this book. This was one of those books where I spent half the book wanting to give the MC’s high fives and the other half wanting to reach through my Kindle and shake some sense into them, but regardless of how much my eyes hurt from all the rolling and the mild case of whiplash Dani and Rob gave me, I enjoyed their journey in its entirety. It brought out all the feels with the sweet and frustrating moments and kept me turning the pages until the very end. My heart went out to Rob and Dani, it did, because they both have such huge hearts, but these two definitely put me through the ringer. They are both dealing with their own demons and have, in their own way, shut down pieces of themselves in the name of self preservation. I really liked both Rob and Dani even though they did drive me crazy in their own ways, they were genuinely good people who fate decided to toss into the frying pan and see how’d they fare once pulled out of it. And although it took them both a while to figure things out, once they did it was exciting to see where they went with it. Their journey, both separately and together, was a bumpy one, aka frustrating as hell, thanks to both of them loving to have conversations in their head with themselves instead of out loud with each other, but considering what they had both been through up until they met, it was to be expected. What kept me turning the page was that despite the numerous starts and stops they kept evolving and working through their issues, even when they didn’t consciously realize it. When they were just being themselves and shut out the reasons why they couldn’t be together their interactions were sweet and funny and I really liked where they found themselves at the end of the book. The writing was engaging. the pacing of story was good and liked the dual 1st person POV. There were a couple of secondary storylines I would have like to have gotten a little more out of, but since the story was very concentrated on Dani and Rob and their relationship I can understand why they were left as they were. The secondary cast of characters were done well, though my favorite is Sampson. This is my first read by the author and even with the rollercoaster of a ride Rob and Dani took me on, I really enjoyed it. ~ Copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley & voluntarily reviewed ~

I really enjoyed this one. Loved these characters. They felt so honest and true that you could imagine them as your best friends. The writing is excellent and the story is intriguing with a nice flow. Life has dealt Roberto DeRosa quite a few blows but none have been as frustrating as the last. While on the job as a firefighter, Rob suffered a traumatic brain injury that has left him with speech issues. Verbalizing his thoughts is difficult so most of the time he chooses not to speak. Corralling his thoughts is also difficult but a couple of things seem to calm and soothe him enough to slow his thoughts. One is his guitar. The second is Dani Hodge. The beautiful young woman who introduced herself at the club but he was unable to speak to. Now he's getting to know her as he helps her renovate the storefront she's working on for her new shop. Will she ever be able to understand and accept him as he is? A great read and one I highly recommend.

He ran his fingers through her white hair and outside their was a burger shop it sounds frisky. Their are moments when one would want to say. He could used her hair brush as well. Just to braun all over her. I would have suggested google play. The music section and look for some nice tunes to link☝
