About this ebook

The fourth and final book in the USA Today bestselling Magnolia Steele Mystery series.

Magnolia Steele has nothing left to lose. Her once-beloved father has been unmasked as a criminal, her mother is dead, and her two closest allies—her boyfriend and her sister-in-law—have broken her trust. Worse, the serial killer who has tormented her since her return to Franklin has escalated his behavior. Everyone around her encourages her to run away or hide, but Magnolia is determined to stand her ground. She intends to identify the serial killer herself, even if she has to burn every last bridge to do it.

Her one lead is the apparent link between her father and the murders. Unsure of whom to trust, she forms a temporary alliance with a detective who’s on the outs with the Franklin police force. Together, they dig into the past for clues, but Magnolia doesn’t limit herself to secondary sources. Her father is still in town, very intent on a reunion, and her brother might finally be ready to talk about their shared past…

As the situation escalates, Magnolia discovers that she has inherited her mother’s steel backbone. It will help her distinguish friend from foe, and it might just be her best hope for surviving her curtain call.

From Denise Grover Swank, I've come to expect far better. This whole series, covering just a few weeks, has been all over the place... and with some jittery characters holding non-sensical agendas with WAYYY too much time on their hands. And this last book, although dragging in places, takes the cake. The last few chapters are definitely enjoyable, but chances are that the author is a little distracted by too many working manuscripts on her desktop at the moment. A Rose Gardner book is now too far overdue.

A standing ovation! I have to admit, I put off reading this book for such a long time because I knew all the crazy twists and turns would not only shock me, but keep me from putting the book down until I was completely done. I knew I should pace myself but after reading this book, I knew I was right! I couldn’t put it down until I finished and found out the ending. Once I thought I had something figured out, I changed my mind and couldn’t figure it out. Curtain Call is a fantastic ending to a superb mystery series. Magnolia hasn’t always been my favorite character but this series is one of my favorites because the mystery is just that amazing, and this conclusion solidified my belief. A standing ovation to Magnolia, Curtain Call, and Denise Grover Swank!!

I just got finished with the ARC and I can't believe all the stuff packed into this book. I am sad to see the end of this series. There was a time in this book that I questioned everything I had read in the other books. I even accused on person I never thought could do it but through the questioning it became possible. I think this is a hang on for the ride book because I was amazed at the end. It was high impacted and you will wonder if you need to get out a board and pin point everything you have ever read. I loved every min of it.
