About the author
रस्किन बॉण्ड का जन्म 19 मई 1934 को हिमाचल प्रदेश के कसौली के एक फ़ौजी अस्पताल में हुआ था। इनकी परवरिश शिमला, जामनगर, मसूरी, देहरादून तथा लंडन में हुई। आज-कल वे अपने परिवार के साथ देहरादून जिला में रहते है। वे अग्रेज़ी मूल के लेखक हैं। उन्होने बिशप कॉटन नामक धर्मशाला में अभ्यास किया। 1999 में भारत सरकार ने उन्हें साहित्य के क्षेत्र में उनके योगदानों के लिए पद्म श्री से सम्मानित किया। 2014 में उन्हें पद्म भूषण और 'अॅवर ट्रीज़ स्टिल ग्रो इन देहरा' के लिए उन्हंह साहित्य अकादमी पुरस्कार से भी सम्मानित किया गया है ।
