This is a fascinating, slow-burn wolf shifter romance & book two in the series “Montana Howling”. The plot is exceptional well-written and filled with individual characters with complex personalities, some of these characters struggle with self-esteem issues and acceptance as they continue to develop throughout the story-line. There are some character crossovers from the previous book but this book is complete & standalone. There is: wolf shifters, a male wolf shifter (Kent), a smart human female (Annalise), a hate group (The Human Order), family issues, friendship, drama, intrigue, twists & turns, violence, threats, decisions, financial issues, bad influences, drugs, addiction, law enforcement, some mystery, memories, attractions, devious plans, resentment, despondency, attractions, verbal confrontations, ultimatums, regrets, verbal conflict, a set-up, intervention, acceptance, responsibilities, compromises, apologies, contentment & a little steam. I really enjoyed reading this wolf shifter romance & would recommend it.

This second book in the series gives us Kent's story and bless his heart, he just can't catch a break. At least, not until he meets Annalise. Part of his troubles are brought on by bad decisions and falling into Heidi's trap. Heidi, who we met in book one is still just as troubled and still searching for someone else to share those troubles. We also get some action and danger by way of the human order. The romance is sweet and a little steamy, and Kent and Annalise have great chemistry even though it takes Kent a bit to realize what's important. Kent does learn some valuable life lessons and he certainly has a fair share of obstacles to overcome. All in all, this one is a great addition to the series. and I'm anxious to see what's next for this group of wolf shifters.

This book is the second in this series, and they are great, plenty of action and the interaction between the characters is w. I can't wait for the next book. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
