She also enjoys domestic pursuits like gardening and playing with her grandchildren, and, of course, reading. She has lived in Victoria for forty-three years, a transplant from Ontario. Numerous rainy winters have not dampened her appreciation of the west coast's wonderful mild climate and year-round outdoor activities.
