About this ebook

An accessible, in-depth exploration of the runes as a living spiritual tradition.

Diana Paxson has distilled her many years of experience working with the runes into this essential source book. Readers will learn the historical meaning of each individual rune and its use and meaning now, in contemporary culture.

But, Paxson reveals, the real power of the runes comes from internalizing them and using their symbols as sources of wisdom and power. At the end of each chapter are rituals and spells for all levels of ability that aim to help internalize the attributions, meanings, symbolism, and use of the runes.

Everything regarding runes is covered in this definitive workbook, from the history of runes and how to make your own rune sets, to how to work with them on a psychic, spiritual, and magical level.

I was intrigued by this book, however it had far too much conflicting information. Alternate interpretations are best left if youre in a group. Also some of the runes were missing the inverted meanings, so I began to search google, In that sense this is hardly a complete guide. So readers, and searchers. Dont judge a book by its cover, or title. To the author: Absolutley no disrespect or bad intentions towards you in my review, your writing style captivates the soul and brings you to a mental state of enlightenment. I simply feel the rune interpetations needed a little more. For the solo learner, the lone wolf like me: this book is geared towards group learners, and if I were, it would have recieved 4 stars instead of 3 from me. Brass Tacks: *Solo learners should maybe pass this by. *Group learners should definitely consider purchasing this guide.
