About the author

Leonid Nikolajewitsch Andrejew (1871-1919) arbeitete zunächst als Anwalt, dann als Journalist. Maxim Gorkis Kinder der Sonne geht auf Andrejews Drama Hinauf zu Sternen zurück. Er starb in im finnischen Exil und hinterließ mehrere Romane und Theaterstücke.
