This book includes short stories having female protagonists. Some are good and some are just not worth the time. I liked only one story amongst all, Virgin Bride. It represents present times and practical characters and typical Indian mentality of a boy and his family towards their future daughter in law. Other stories were okay. I just thought it was getting dragged. Common thing among all stories is steamy scenes which were not required and the story could go well without it. The narration was getting repeated. The writing style was average. The stories could be more interesting and with more twists. Overall, an okayish read!

This book is a collection of six short stories. The best part about it is how unapologetic the women in each of these stories are. They do things that are frowned upon by many, but they're also ready to face the consequences of their actions. And for that one reason I'd give this book an extra star. If you're looking for happy endings and cute love stories, this book isn't for you. But you do get a promise that the lives of the women in each story is going to be better at the end, and that should be just as satisfying as a happily ever after.

Difficult Girls is a collection of 5 short stories - intense love stories with a twist where women take charge. The stories all show that tough women will not hesitate to take revenge if being wronged. One thing common in all stories is the intense love making. I picked up this book thinking it might have powerful content about women but it showcased mostly romance/ love making scenes. Ofcourse it shows tough side of the women but mostly it was all love making. Some stories were good while some were okayish. Its a short, fast paced and light read. Pick this up only if you like to read romantic stories. 18+

Kamini Kusum holds a post-graduate degree in management and has worked several years in the corporate sector. She has penned various stories in series like “Rich Housewives” and “Love and Duty”. She has also authored famous novels Gunpoint Groom, Honey & the Moon and A New Dawn. Besides writing, she loves nature, travelling, food, movies and yoga.
