About this eBook

“In stunning, lyrical prose,” this YA fantasy “tells the story of Rosalind, a twelfth-century princess destined for greatness by a prophecy from Merlin” (Booklist, starred review).

For generations, an exiled line of the royal Pendragon family has ruled Wilde Island. But now that distant isle is plagued by a dragon. So it is no small matter that Princess Rosalind was born with a dragon claw where her ring finger should be.

To hide this secret, Queen Gweneth requires her daughter to wear golden gloves at all times until a cure can be found. Only then can Rosalind can fulfill a centuries-old prophecy that will restore her family to its rightful throne.

But Rosalind’s flaw cannot be separated from her fate. When she is carried off by the dragon, everything she thought she knew falls apart . . .

I read this book only once and I was in the 3rd grade and tho I didn't understand a lot of the words I understood enough to get the story across! I'm about to be a Junior now and every time I read, this book is on my mind and I'd love to read it again! Now that I'm older I'm sure if I read it again it'll make more sense than last time. Reading is my favorite hobby and of all the books I've read this was the best! I still remember everything from it even after all these years! I really wish it was free!!

When I first read this book, I was at a loss for words as I still am. I feel like there is a leason, even though a fantasy, still has a lesson we all can in a way learn from. I lost count how many times I've read this book and recommended it to my friends. I wish there were dragons in this day of age and would be able to watch the pips grow up to be proud like their father. :D

I've read the book(not online or downloaded) before, and it was great , you should read it if u enjoy drama, suspense , action, and a side dish of romance(not a lot though) it will suck you into the book, and you won't be able to sleep without wondering " what will happen next" or " I hope she lives through this"
