Expansive and excellent. Mature, adventurous and fun on every level. Space Fantasy at it's most mature while still being exciting. If you can't stand philosophy and theology being tested, you're not old enough to understand and appreciate this work.

Not anti-religion or Christianity or anything of the sort. Perhaps antiwar, of which religion, and specifically Christianity, has been bathed in and horribly guilty of for almost 1700 years. That being said, it's Starlin at his finest. Not mainstream like his work for Marvel, but he was working without the constraints that accompany corporate nonsense, which ironically is one of the themes that he tackles throughout the series (along with religious nonsense. Pointing out the faults in something is NOT the same as being against it). Great artwork (although some of the inking is a bit 'rough'), great story, and definitely relevant in today's divisive, charged environment. Especially considering the number of 'fake christians' hellbent on forcing their views on others... 'Nuff said.
