About this ebook

Hope can’t believe it when her mother decides to ship her off to Chicago to live with the father she hates.
Her loose tongue means she makes one enemy after the other until she meets kindred spirits who admit Hope into their clique. However, they weave secret schemes against Hope behind her back so that, without knowing, she puts herself in grave danger.
And then there’s Ridge Cavendish, a good-looking, yet by all measures awkward guy, who wakes feelings in Hope she's never experienced before.
But then Fynn, Ridge’s son, is shot because of her, and nothing between them seems as though it will ever again be what it once was...

About the author

Drucie Anne Taylor, born in 1987 in Cologne, trained in retail but turned her back on it after the birth of her first child. Together with her family – including a horde of guinea pigs, dwarf hamsters, cockatiels, and parrots – she now lives in beautiful France. In her youth, she had already discovered her love of writing, which is why she now still has lots of manuscripts hidden in dark, never-to-be-opened drawers. When she’s not writing, she likes to see musicals or enjoys watching musical, romance, or horror films – and yes, she sees the contradiction here. Her main fandoms are for the series Supernatural and the musical Dance of the Vampires, and she also lies under the needle of her tattoo artist and sleepily gets her own tattoos, or she enjoys discovering the big, wide world with her family. Her life is colorful, even if her clothes are – preferably – black. To write, she only needs a few things: Latte macchiatos, music or the singing of her birds – because she can’t concentrate in absolute silence – and enough paper to note down other ideas.
