He was like a drug, and at twenty-four, perfectly able to keep supplying her however much she needed.

Having secured herself a man, Victoria must continue on with her plan to get her inheritance. But before she can get down the aisle, she needs to settle Cormac and James into her life and navigate her own place in their little family dynamic. However, first she has to face down her grandfather, the King of Avalone, and the rest of her family.

All dressed in white...

Her eyes met his and his heart beat wildly for a reason so different than before. 'You are so smitten...'

Being on the top floor gives Cormac both the air he needs to breath and the heightened sensation of being a fish out of water, but having held his head high against O’Malley he’s determined to settle into this crazy new world he’s entered. But when he realises that O’Malley isn’t going to let go, he’s got another choice to make…

This is the second book in the series which sees Victoria and Cormac moving forward with their plan for the contract marriage. I love watching the feelings grow between the two of them; they cant deny the chemistry between them even though neither is ready to admit this. On paper it seems they could never work, they’re from different worlds. He has no money, she has more than she can spend, he’s a nobody, she’s royalty. She’s 9 years older and he is the guardian to his 6 year old brother James. Can they make it work? James, Cormac’s brother, is the sweetest kid, a bright child but all he wants it to be loved. You start to see a loving relationship form between James and Victoria. Even Alexi Snape is developing a soft spot for James as she takes him on a few adventures. The Snape sisters are all funny and strong characters, along with Geri too. I look forward to reading the next book to find out if they can fall in love and despite all their differences Free copy received by booksprout
