EIN COOLER HUND erschien zum ersten Mal im Januar 2001 als Privatdruck in einer Auflage von 25 Exemplaren. Dieses Heft enthielt fast alle Gedichte, die ich je geschrieben habe. Außen vor blieben nur frühe Fingerübungen und Quatschreime. Ein Dutzend Gedichte in zwanzig Jahren. Ein Dichter bin ich nie gewesen. Aber als ich im Januar 2000 beschloss, mich nicht länger als Berufsautor kurz vor dem Durchbruch anzusehen, und im Zuge einer Rückbesinnung sämtliche noch erhaltenen alten Sachen las, stellte ich ebenso erstaunt wie erfreut fest, dass gerade die Gedichte die lange Zeit gut überstanden hatten. Kein Wunder. Ich habe sie fast immer für mich oder für Freunde geschrieben. In ihnen spreche ich mit unverstellter Stimme, will ich niemandem was verkaufen. Jedenfalls nicht als Autor.
About the author
Frank Böhmert ist 1962 in Berlin geboren, wo er auch heute noch lebt. Er schreibt seit seinem fünfzehnten Lebensjahr. Für seine Romane fand er Lob von Andreas Eschbach und Thor Kunkel.
