From the first page to the last , this story will keep the readers on the edge of their seats. Tanner MacCray still is struggling with having his career as a Navy SEAL taken away from him. Not because of anything he did, but because of the false accusations Hailey Steele made against him. He’s back in Harmony Falls where the unthinkable seems to be happening. The question is WHY and WHO is responsible. Hailey Steele, a forensic accounting specialist, is currently looking for a treasure.

One Word says it all: Wow. Shadow and Steel is in Ms Levine’s style, you get a rapid start that takes you on a journey which has you turning the pages as fast as you can read them. Each main character will have you smiling (and maybe a few tears) because they are so easy to like and love. Tanner MacCray was raised by his Uncle Everett after his parents passed away and Tanner and Ozzy Steel were childhood best friends. Ozzy’s sister, Hailey Steel, who is 6 years younger than Tanner and Ozzy

This may be one of my favorites so far, and it was well worth the wait. As Hailey and Tanner's story unfolds you are reminded of the terrifying past reign of the Grummond Society and many things are not as they seem in Harmony Falls. Shadow and Steele has everything you could ask for, suspense, deceit, evil, darkness, and ultimately hope for Tanner and Hailey. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.
