Acerca deste livro eletrónico

This book presents the latest advances and future trends in electron and phonon spectrometrics, focusing on combined techniques using electron emissions, electron diffraction, and phonon absorption and reflection spectrometrics from a substance under various perturbations to obtain new information on bond-electron-phonon dynamics. Discussing the principles of the bond order-length-strength (BOLS) correlation, nonbonding electron polarization (NEP), local bond average (LBA), and multi-field lattice oscillation dynamics for systems under perturbation, the book covers topics like differential photoelectron/phonon spectrometrics (DPS), which distils transition of the length, energy, stiffness and the fraction of bonds upon chemical or physical conditioning; and the derived performance of electrons in various bands in terms of quantum entrapment and polarization.

This book appeals to researchers, scientists and engineers in the fields of chemistry, physics, surface and interface science, and materials science and engineering who are interested in electron and phonon spectrometrics.

Acerca do autor

Chang Q Sun, received his B.Sc. from Wuhan University of Science and Technology in 1982. He was awarded an M.Sc. from Tianjin University in 1987, and was a member of the faculty there until 1992. He earned his Ph.D. in Physics at Murdoch University in 1997, before joining Nanyang Technological University. Dr. Sun’s research has focuses on extraordinary coordination bonding and nonbonding electronics, and he has pioneered theories of bond relaxation and hydrogen bond (O: H−O) oscillator pair cooperativity. He holds multiple patents related to coordination-resolved electrons and multi-field phonon spectrometrics.

His contribution has been documented in Electron and Phonon Spectrometrics, Springer 2019; Solvation Dynamics: A Notion of Charge Injection, Springer 2019; The Attribute of Water: Single Notion, Multiple Myths, Springer 2016; and Relaxation of the Chemical Bond, Springer 2014; as well as their Chinese versions. He has published over 25 papers in journals such as Chemical Reviews and Progress in Materials Science. He received the inaugural Nanyang Award in 2005, and the 25th Khwarizmi International Award in 2012. He is currently on the advisory boards of numerous journals.
