This third book in this series reads as a complete standalone. There’s not much overlap with the first two books other than location. I loved this behind the scenes look at the movie industry and watching these two fall in love. Because it’s Hollywood so of course there’s drama and I couldn’t wait to see how everything was going to turn out. This was such a fun read.

For the third book in the Destination Paradise series, we get the story of hot, action star, Dean Harrison and newcomer, Phoebe Flynn. If you’re looking for secrets, steam, backstabbing coworkers and supposedly friends, and fun in the sun, you will not be disappointed with this beautifully written story. Dean has always dated his costar and he’s looking to change that. That is, until he meets Phoebe. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I will say if you want to get away for a few hours, then you need to read this book that will make laugh, smile, cheer, and maybe even shed a tear or two. I received an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Hidden in the Sand by Elena Aitken, book three in her Destination Paradise series was a wonderful story of two people connecting through magnetism and chemistry but one struggles with trust issues while the other has a reputation he would like to transform. Hollywood star, Dean Harrison is known more for dating his co-stars than his acting ability; something he wants to change. Dean is more than ready to taken seriously for his acting as he has some major aspirations. It is for this reason he needs to keep his new, beautiful, co-star at arm’s length; no matter how attractive and drawn to her he is. Discovered while working in an ice cream store, Phoebe Flynn gets the opportunity of a lifetime, to star in this year’s next blockbuster hit; being filmed in Panama. Aware of Dean’s reputation with his co-stars, Phoebe wants nothing to do with him once the cameras stop filming. She is determined to earn her success on her own terms and ability, unlike Dean’s previous co-stars who gained from connecting with him. However, the more they get to know each other, away from the cameras, the more their feelings for each other grow. Dean wants to prove to Phoebe he wants more than the fame, yet, at the same time he wants her. Phoebe is so confused, not knowing what to believe; that she is another stepping stone to the top or to trust him with her feelings and her heart. Now for them to figure out if there will be a picture perfect ending for these two or will there be nothing but trouble in Paradise. Ms. Aitken wrote a wonderful and amazing story, filled with magnetic attraction, sizzling chemistry, pleasurable interactions, beautiful and descriptive scenery, and charming secondary characters that is not to be missed. Seeing the personal growth of Dean and Phoebe as they struggled with their goals and desires made this an enjoyable read. I totally enjoyed and highly recommend Hidden in the Sand to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
