If you’ve not read Ms. Braden before, gift yourself an early Christmas present. This young lady is an outstanding plot developer, scene setter, and narrator. Her dialogue is witty, sharp, and intelligent, and the different voice of each character rings true. Thankfully, Ms. Braden is light on the angst, but provides enough turmoil for her characters to keep the story gripping. “Confessions of a Dangerous Lord” is the latest offering in the Rescued from Ruin series. The great thing about this series is that they are stand alone, but characters from previous books in the series pop up in the best places. The Dowager Marchioness of Wallingham is an ongoing character who, usually in discussion with her boon companion Humphrey (who happens to be a bloodhound), delivers pithy, relevant, and starchy observations of the other characters. Her sage advice and wisdom alone are worth the price of the book. I cannot recommend this book, this author, and this series more highly. Absolutely flawless, and Ms. Braden continues to grow as a writer. In addition, there are very few (if any), errors in these books. Please give Ms. Braden and the Dowager a read – you will not regret it!

Couldn't put this book down. Although I could do without the sex parts, I
skip over them anyway. The mystery and intrigue are riveting

Another great read. I loved the story which really has been weaving through the series. Now, will the next one be for Sabastion Reaves or the next Huxley sister?
