I love hockey romances and I was excited when I heard Elise Faber has a new series coming out and as soon as Broken Laces ( Eagle Hockey #1) hit my kindle I dived right in. Let me just say Rome Dawson and Chrissy Dubios’s story was everything I expected and so much more. If this book is anything to go by Ms Faber will certainly have a hit series on her hands. I was drawn in from the first few pages and there was no putting down until the final word was read and even then I wanted more.

From the first chapter I was hooked. Not only are Rome and Christina (aka Chrissy) wonderful characters but they have such a strong connection that you cannot help but quickly become invested in their story.This was a beautifully written love story with so much happening it was like peeling back layers of an onion. The secondary characters were as entertaining as Rome and Chrissy, and I cannot wait to see what the author has in store for them.

I enjoyed this book and look forward to continuing this new series. Rome and Chrissy's story was fun to read and gave me plenty of feels. Witty banter and delightful chemistry are combined with a smart blend of drama, emotion, twists, heart and spice to create a romance that I found totally charming.
