Elizabeth Laird has been nominated several times for the Carnegie Medal and has won many awards, including the Children's Book Award. She is the author of many highly acclaimed children's books including Secrets of the Fearless, The Prince Who Walked With Lions and Dindy and the Elephant. She and her husband divide their time between London and Edinburgh.
