About the author

Born and raised in South Africa, poet and artist Elizabeth Mayne fled apartheid by emigrating to Canada. Working as a teacher for many years, she retired earky to pursue a degree in Fine Arts. A passionate artist and writer, Elizabeth Mayne has had five solo exhibitions and participated in over twenty group shows. She has organized international print shows in Canada, South Africa and New Zealand and her poems have appeared in anthologies in Canada and South Africa. She is publisher of an illustrated chapbook series, Gadrian 1-2-3. A Passionate Continuity is Mayne's first book, containing work created over the past ten years. Elizabeth Mayne lives in Victoria, BC.
