About this ebook

In New York Times bestselling author Emma Chase’s sizzling and hilarious debut novel, Drew Evans—gorgeous, arrogant, irreverent, and irresistibly charming—meets his match in new colleague Kate Brooks.

When rich, handsome, and arrogant meets beautiful, brilliant, and ambitious, things are bound to get tangled...

Drew Evans makes multimillion-dollar business deals and seduces New York’s most beautiful women with just a smile. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed? He’ll tell you he has the flu, but we all know that’s not really true.

When Katherine Brooks is hired as the new associate at Drew’s father’s investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy’s life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating.

How can one woman turn a smooth-talking player into a broken, desperate man? By making the one thing he never wanted in life the only thing he can’t live without.

This is definitely worth a read. In fact, it's probably worth a second read. It's funny and unapologetic and just a little bit steamy at the right moments. There were times were I wasn't fond of the leading man and then there were times where I was utterly in his corner cheering him all the way. It was refreshing to have a "male" perspective... and if you've been hesitant to read. I say give it a chance, you may be pleasantly surprised! I've heard there is more to come from this series and I can't wait.

4 Stars From Sammy's Book Obsession! TITLE~ Tangled (Tangled #1) AUTHOR~ Emma Chase GENRE~Contemporary Romance DATE PUBLISHED~ August 2, 2013 MY RATING~ 4 MY THOUGHTS~ I chose to buy & read this book because I had heard people raving about it! This is a really great read! I mostly enjoyed it from the first page to the last. I wasn't real fond of the parts where the MC talked directly to the reader though. To me, that breaks up the story. However, a male point of view is a definite pro!

I have only read the first few chapters but this is definitely on the top of my next purchase list. I love the perspective. I love how its written. I'm a reader, when not doing mom duties I have my nose in a book. I react to certain things, smiling when something romantic happens, gasping at betrayal and even occasionally getting teary (though its rare). I don't usually laugh out loud, maybe giggle to myself a little but the way this one is written, I was laughing out loud. I'm so excited to finish this one
