About this ebook

He told me he loved me.
He told me it was normal.
I wanted to believe him.

Emma’s grandad was kind and loving, so when she was 11 and he started abusing her, she didn't understand what was happening. He convinced her that what he did to her was normal, and that their relationship was special – but then manipulated her into having sex with another man. Over the next seven years, Emma’s grandad sold her to over two hundred men, and forced her to keep the shameful secret. This is her true story of survival.

What a remarkably brave woman Emma is! Her 'realness' of the devastating effects sexual abuse (and the emotional trauma it causes) at the hands of someone she loved and trusted was written so openly and humbly, I felt sad (and angy!) for her! I related to her struggle: The slow and painful journey required to rebuild one's life. Her strength poured through on every page! I found myself cheering her on every step of the way! Having PTSD doesn't have to be a 'life sentence' but is is also not 100% curable.
