I want to say that this book was beautifully written and realistic, and the details are great. At first, everything seemed rushed and fast-paced, and in just 35%, I had already cried a few times. The connection between Derek and Nick is almost the same as that between Derek and his mom, though I just wish I knew more about the history of these two guys. And I think it became too slow in Dahliah and Nick's story. It is just funny to think that they are emphasizing too much that they're just friends, which they obviously are not. It is understandable, though, because they want to take everything slow, and I think they are in a denial phase. I love and hate it at the same time. All in all, Emmanuel Snow is really good at describing details and making you want to live in the Green Mountains. Her stories are touching, rich in details, and realistic.

Emmanuelle Snow has a special talent for turning you into an emotional wreck with the most beautiful words possible and Cruel Destiny was no different. Nick had my heart and watching his journey unfold was wonderful. And then the chemistry between him and Dahlia…you just wanted these two to be happy after all the pain and loss they had previously experienced. Another amazing book in the series, though I would suggest reading the two previous ones first.
