About this eBook

All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely killers...

Everybody’s talking about Hemlock’s annual fall festival’s headliner band, ShakesPierre. Everyone but Tess Harrison, whose breakup with Pierre, the lead singer, left them both singing the blues years ago. And now that Pierre is back, he’s publicly putting his feelings for Tess in the spotlight.

So when Pierre ends up stabbed in the alley outside Tess’s bakery, she’s the number one suspect—especially since she’s famously known for her quality kitchen knives. But the evidence strikes a false note with Maddie and Jenna Bell, who are determined to clear their friend’s name and make sure the real murderer plays…uh, pays for his crime.

The clues lead them out of Hemlock and into danger far outside of Sheriff Jackson Bradley’s jurisdiction. Can Maddie save everyone before the real killer strikes back and Tess goes down for a crime she didn’t commit?

I enjoyed reading Ending On a Die Note by Nancy Robards Thompson, book three in her The Wedding Bells Mysteries set in a town perfectly named Hemlock. Bridal boutique owner and cozy mystery writer Maddie Bell and her daughter, Jenna, are in the midst of the Fall Festival which Jenna and her best friend, bakery owner Tess, are co-chairing. After Hemlock's fall event, the lead singer of the performing band, ShakesPierre, is found dead outside of a Tess’ Bakery and it appears she is being framed for the murder. Once again Maddie and Jenna find themselves playing detective to clear Tess; getting themselves into some hair-raising and dangerous situations. All signs point toward the band members, but figuring out which one of the players would benefit the most from his death and be willing to frame Tess for the murder is a challenge worthy of this mother-daughter team. Although, Sherriff Jack warns them off, it only makes them follow the clues harder; but this time they do keep him apprised of important details. Jack's concern for Maddie proves the feelings are still there for their off and on romance I genuinely enjoyed reading this funny, sweet and intriguing book and had trouble putting this book down. Ms Robards Thompson kept me on my toes guessing who the killer was, until I turned the last page. Her writing had me feeling as if I was there, watching the events unfold. I never suspected the person who was the murderer. Great job stumping me!! I highly recommend Ending On a Die Note to other readers and am sorry that this is the end of the series; though, the prologue does nicely tie up the series. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

After Hemlock's fall event, the lead singer of ShakesPierre is found dead outside of a local's business. Maddie and Jenna are both worried for Tess and know her innocence of the crime, and they put their sleuthing skills to the test. While Sherriff Jack warns them off, it only makes them follow the clues harder, but they keep him apprised of important details. All signs point toward the band, but just who would benefit the most from his death and be willing to frame Tess for the murder? The plot twists around the whodunit weave through several players and the book moves smoothly as they work together to solve the crime. Jack's concern for Maddie proves the feelings are still there for their off and on romance. The prologue ties up the series, but the book can be read as a standalone. A fun cozy mystery I highly recommend. **received an ARC from the publisher**

This is a fun cozy mystery that will draw you and not beat you down with angst and drama A perfect escape When the lead singer of ShakesPierre is found dead outside Tess Harrison's bakery every one suspects she is the killer after all they had a pretty nasty breakup years ago. But Maddie and Jenna Bell know that their friend would never kill anyone and are determined to prove her innocence even if that means they have to go against Sheriff Jackson Bradley's instructions When the chase takes them away from his jurisdiction they may have just made themselves targets as well
