Il primo, Pulvis, utilizza materiali tratti dalla Sagra della primavera e dalla Sinfonia per strumenti a fiato dello stesso Stravinsky, polverizzati in una scrittura puntillistica che ne rende impossibile la riconoscibilità; la forma è bipartita e la seconda parte è l’esatto retrogrado a specchio della prima. Il secondo, Scharf (acuto, acuminato) è, in un certo senso, un caleidoscopio del totale cromatico ed è caratterizzato da suoni lunghi e dall’uso quasi costante dei superacuti degli strumenti.”
