Love all things Virginia Henley, though I had difficulty with this one. Wished she'd have stuck to one period/era. Just when I was getting into the first era I got disconnected with the storyline and had to re-learn the characters again in the Roman period only to be sucked out of it once more. Some parts felt unfinished. Overall a good read, will give it a few weeks and re-read it again.
