The law of succession enjoys a growing practical meaning. The work contains a description of the main elements as well as the focal point of the law of succession. Dirk Olzen ist Professor an der Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf, Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Bürgerliches Recht und Zivilprozeßrecht, Direktor des Instituts für Rechtsfragen der Medizin. Er prüft seit 1984 im Ersten Staatsexamen und ist Verfasser zahlreicher Ausbildungsbeiträge.
