I'm not your Slave: The Story of Imtiyaaz

Young high-school grad Imtiyaaz is eager to leave her life in Indonesia behind. She’s always coveted employment abroad, and, at last, the perfect opportunity presents, as suggested by a colleague. Rich with opportunities in the ‘hospitality’ field, Dubai, she’s told, is a journey worth taking. An offer with a chance for hire soon follows, and, finally, Imtiyaaz is free to part with her unhappy father.

Imtiyaaz is over the moon, but it becomes clear, upon arrival, that her new station isn’t what she’d imagined. In fact, few bleaker fates undone could be fathomed under the scorching sun.

Unwittingly indentured, Imtiyaaz finds herself the ‘property’ of a ruthless trafficking ring of criminals and captives. Identification seized, she faces an impossible decision: perform unspeakable acts...or risk her life in attempting escape.

Complicit authorities will be of no help, and, without a single friend in the middle eastern lands, Imtiyaaz is truly alone.
