About this ebook

THE TIKTOK SENSATION

Discover the million-copy bestselling fantasy read.

The circus arrives without warning. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not.

Against the grey sky the towering tents are striped black and white. A sign hanging upon an iron gates reads:

Opens at Nightfall
Closes at Dawn

Full of breath-taking amazements and open only at night, Le Cirque des Rêves seems to cast a spell over all who wander its circular paths. But behind the glittering acrobats, fortune-tellers and contortionists a fierce competition is underway.

Celia and Marco are two young magicians who have been trained since childhood for a deadly duel. With the lives of everyone at the Circus of Dreams at stake, they must test the very limits of the imagination, and of their love.

Complete your collection with The Starless Sea, the second novel from the author of the The Night Circus, out now.

'The only response to this novel is simply: wow. It is a breath-taking feat of imagination, a flight of fancy that pulls you in and wraps you up in its spell' The Times

So I have to be totally honest I didn't enjoy this book, don't get me wrong the author has put a lot of attention to detail and it really is amazing. I could visualize almost everything but I found the story moved very slowly and not much seems to happen for me anyway. I did however really seem to like the part of the story that followed Bailey at least they seemed to be a bit more interesting, the other characters I really didn't care for. The challenge/battle or whatever you want to call it that was supposed to be happening throughout the story I found dull and boring. This book was not for me but some might find it interesting it just went way to slow for me personally, I will give the book 3 stars though just for the amount of attention to detail given to reader as you could as I have said visualize what the author wanted you to see.

Sitting in a coffee shop one day with a friend I made a comment 'I don't think I'll ever find a book that will beat The Hunger Games Trilogy' a woman sat opposite heard my comment and simply said 'I take it you haven't been introduced to The Night circus'....purchased it and couldn't put it down. Have never felt so captured by a book. Amazingly written, it's enchanting and captivating. It really is a must read...it took some time to adjust in the beginning as it is so very different...simply fab :-)

The way Erin Morgenstern describes the circus is absolutely magnificent. The description is so vivid, fascinating and elaborate that it almost feels you are in the midst of it all. Despite that, the story lacks a punch. It ends rapidly and abruptly, and not making much sense.
