I am always amazed at how Dale takes a kernel of life, a snip it if you will, wraps it suspense and mystery . Sammy lives with her father. She is taking care of him in the last vestiges of his illness. I too lost my dad that way, I was fortunate to have family. A snip it of real life fleshed out with our alpha hero Eton and his back up Garret. Trying to track down the who and whys of the attack on Bullard and the team. Eton reaching out to help someone in need was touching, alas have you heard the saying "no good deed goes unpunished" sigh. Sammy is strong, sassy and a complete match for Eton. We gathered more intel and we heard from ICE again, score! The Dale Mayer requirement? Throw in a twist you didn't see coming. Thank you for the arc. I freely volunteer my thoughts an opinions.

This is book 3 in the Bullard’s Battle series and it features Eton and Sammy. As the guys get closer to figuring out who’s behind this whole mess, Eton‘s journey takes him to Switzerland, which is where he meets Sammy. She’s strong willed and very independent. Their relationship unfolds strangely. They TALKED more about having a relationship than actually having one. I felt so bad for her with the whole situation regarding her father. It was heartbreaking. The action and suspense were fantastic! The characters were great. Even though the romance doesn’t play a huge part in the story line, what little there is, is kind of just thrown in at the end.

I liked this book and thought it was another solid entry in this series. Eton and Sammy's story had me perched on the edge of my seat with a skillfully crafted blend of tension, danger, action, drama and its many twists. I am electing to post an unprejudiced review.
