Bridging the neoclassical and Romantic aesthetics, Pushkin's narrative poetry, marked by its poignant lyrical interludes, melds elegant form with profound psychological insight. Born into the Russian nobility, Pushkin was deeply influenced by his engagement with Enlightened thought and the cultural tumult of early 19th-century Russia.
