This book provides a lot of great information that helps you decipher all the hair products on the shelves. It also gives you a lot of good ways to test out what kind of hair you actually have. Then, it goes on to describe products and styles that would work best for you. It even gets into some of the science behind what makes hair greasy or fragile and why. I think my favorite part was when the author gives ideas for home remedies. She brings up some of the hottest trends in salons and then recommends ways in which you can achieve the same results with ingredients you can find around your home or in your grocery store, without the fancy price tag.
