Heartwarming, sweet and sexy love story The fake relationship is one of my favorite tropes, and Stacey Lynn does not disappoint in The Fake Wife. Ms Lynn takes the contrived arrangement and brands it her own with her trademark style of storytelling. Expect heartaches, a myriad buffet of emotions, irresistible dialogue and endearing characters. Corbin Lane needs a wife within six months of his grandmother, Eleanor’s will. She’s bequeathed her beloved house and property on Cannon Bluffs to Corbin, but only if he falls in love and marries. While the public sees him as a playboy with a trust fund and the heir to the Lane Holdings fortune, there is more to Corbin. He keeps his true self hidden and secret, especially from his greedy and ruthless father. He won’t let his father destroy the only home he’s ever known, and the house his grandmother raised him in. But happenstance creates opportunity when his car is rear-ended by Teagan Monroe. Teagan has just survived one hellacious morning. Fired from a job, catching her cheating boyfriend and now, homeless with all her stuff in the back of her car, Teagan is an emotional wreck when she smashes into Corbin. Seeing this beautiful, distraught woman, Corbin launches into a plan that will benefit both of them; he gets his cherished childhood home and Teagan gets a future she has dreamt about. From this point the story unfolds wonderfully into a whirlwind love story. Teagan and Corbin at first have lots of hurdles, namely trust and a growing attraction. But as they spend time together, they can’t deny the growing attraction between them. There is a delightful buildup and sizzling chemistry. Neither Corbin or Teagan expect to fall hard for each other. But can they be sure what their hearts feel is not pretend, but the real thing? One of my favorite lines that just made me melt, “I don’t want to take anything from you you’re not willing to give, and this isn’t pretend...Everything I’m feeling for you right now is more real than anything I’ve ever felt.” *sigh* Fake Wife has the perfect blend of constant push and pull of attraction, and all the feels woven into this fake relationship that blossoms into a true romance. It’s a love story with humor, parts will make you ugly cry, but your heart will leap with such a wonderful ending, and a sigh-worthy epilogue. I highly recommend this story for all romance readers. Wonderful job, Ms Lynn. I received an advance reader copy from Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept via NetGalley and voluntarily reviewed it.

When you think the day from hell can’t get any worse and it does, then what’s a girl to do? Roll with the punches, or get the hell out of Dodge? That’s the question facing Teagan Monroe on the day, she not only loses her job to restructuring, but she discovers her boyfriend of seven years has been cheating on her. With nothing to show for her years of dedication to her now wasted relationship, Teagan takes off and is driving aimlessly when a car pulls out in front of her and she crashes into the back of it. She gets the answer to her question and it’s a big fat YES. Yes, it can. Or so she thinks, until she sees who climbs out of the fancy car she’s pranged. Corbin Lane, hasn’t been having the best day of his life either. His beloved grandmother has died and during the reading of her will, he finds out she’s left him with a huge problem and feeling like the weight of the world is on his shoulders. He’s ready to kick some butt when someone crashes into the back of his Mercedes, at least until he sets eyes on the culprit. One look in Teagan’s frightened eyes and all he can see is the answer to his prayers, all he has to do is convince this strangers to go along with his crazy, hair-brained idea. What was the plan? Marry him and become his fake wife for two years so that he can inherit his grandmother’s house. Corbin in’t your usual run-of-the-mill CEO billionaire. His father has the reins to Lane Holdings and Corbin is meant to take over when his dad retires, but it’s not what Corbin wants. He’s been forced to live by his dad’s rules, long enough, even though they don’t get along. Now, he has a way of evading him permanently. The chemistry between Corbin and Teagan is powerfully portrayed, each feels the pull but both are leery of it to begin with. Especially Teagan. She’s sting bruised over her previous relationship. But the more time she spend with Corbin, the harder it is to fight her feelings. This was a true insta-love/ lust story, but it didn’t suffer for it. The story was captivating, the characters engaging and the sex scenes well played with plenty of heat. But, just as things are looking up, someone comes along and throws a spanner in the works. Will it all end in tears, or can Corbin make Teagan his for real, instead of her being a Fake Wife.

4.5 star Review Fake Wife By Stacey Lynn A new author to me and I have no idea why. When Teagan accidentally crashes her car into Corbin Lane’s it’s the straw that breaks the camels back. Losing her job, finding out her boyfriend of 7 years is cheating on her and then the car crash, can this day get any worse? When Corbin whisks Teagan away to lunch and to talk, she initially cannot believe what he is offering. Having just found out about the terms of his grandmothers will, to claim his inheritance and the house and land, the only place he has ever been happy, he must find a wife within 6 months. Corbin is in desperate need of a temporary wife, one who will be by his side for the next 2 years. Should Teagan accept his outrageous proposition, or run as far and as fast as possible? Although not a particularly long read, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Corbin could have been a character that I disliked, however Ms. Lynn gave him so many layers that I found it impossible not to fall for him. His love for his recently deceased grandmother brought tears to my eyes. Will fear, miss communication and lust cloud their judgment or will they jump headlong into a steamy affair? The fact that they could help each others dreams become reality was a big part of the story and was truly heart warming. I loved Corbin and Teagan separately and together and would love to see their story continue. This will not be the last book I read from Stacey Lynn.
