Hannah komt over als een zeur, die niet weet wat ze wil. Marco komt over als een creep die haar stalkt. Later, veel later komt te sprake wat Hannah zo heeft verandert, echter aangezien ze het halve boek als een zeikerig iemand overkomt valt dat niet echt zoals het waarschijnlijk bedoelt was. Kleine hints naar wat er zich in het verleden heeft afgespeeld in het eerste deel van het boek, hadden het vele malen spannender kunnen maken.
