About this eBook

Bradford Steel never believed in fate…until he met the girl of his dreams.

As sole heir to the Steel ranch and fortune, Brad knows what his future holds. He’ll marry and have children, but he’s not cut out for love. Fate has other plans, though, when he meets college freshman Daphne Wade—an innocent and beautiful young woman who loves sunrises, animals, and the color yellow.

Daphne is on her own for the first time, and she vows to make the most of every minute. Never again will she fall victim to the anxiety and depression that plagued her through high school. Instead, she’ll treasure the joy in even the most mundane and live her life to its fullest. When handsome senior Brad Steel shows an interest in her, she gathers her courage and dives in.

Their relationship moves more quickly than either of them expect, and before long, fate blooms into love. Brad is determined to eliminate all the obstacles in their way and protect Daphne. It’s a promise he’ll ultimately keep…no matter the cost.

The books taking place on the western slope I can overlook the making up of names of hospitals and hotels. I'm a 2nd generation Denver native and in the time frame this book took place, only the University of Denver and Colorado Women's College had dorms. Because at that time, CWC was only for women that means that it had to take place around DU. There was never a hodgkiss at DU. And the Four Seasons didn't open in Denver until the 2000's. Thank you for at least getting Tante Louise right. Please take a page from Stephen White and Diana Gabledon and add a little local research to your writing for the sake of your readers who love where your books are set.

I found that this book shouldn't have been written this late in the series, either that or not at all. It's not that I did/didn't like it alot, it's just a feeling I have now I've brought both the paperback and ebook. Helen I'm sorry for this review I just thought it would've gone on like the rest of the series with all the boys, their future children and families. I do hope that the next book is alot better than this one.

Brad and Daphne's story I honestly don't know why Brad didn't think his adult children could help him protect his wife their mother. I was very hesitant to read this book. We know how Brad and Daphne ended do we really need to know more was my original thought. Then I changed my mind because it will be nice to know why they did what they did. In Fate we go from present day to go over the past. We learn that Brad was with Wendy before Daphne. I always wondered why she was so mad or jealous when he got with Daphne. We learn he knew Wendy needed some mental help. Did Brad not really know what the club was doing? Didnt he think how are Wendy and her friends making all that money. We find out in the beginning Brad just was like an investor he had no clue at the beginning. Wendy have been is kryptonite he could never say no to her. That's what got him in this mess wow thats good to know. Brad didn't play fair when he figured a ways to get rid of Wendy wonder why she always been mad at him. Something happened to Daphne to cause her to lose herself and her mind. I wonder what it was and who caused it. That will make me read more to know what happened. Brad is sexy and so sweet to Daphne. Just hard reading about the good Brad when I know about the bad one already. Barenakedwords thanks for letting me read this one in an exchange for a honest review.
