John Feinstein spent eleven years on the staff at the Washington Post, as well as writing for Sports Illustrated and the National Sports Daily. He is a commentator on NPR's "Morning Edition, a regular on ESPN's "The Sports Reporters and a visiting professor of journalism at Duke University.

His other books on the subject of sports include A Season Inside, Forever's Team, Hard Courts, Play Ball, A Civil War: Army vs. Navy, and, most recently, A March to Madness: The View from the Floor in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
