For This Moment

For This Moment is a well-written historical fiction romance, about love, taking chances and overcoming the fear of rejection. It takes place in Virginia, during the 1870s. Olivia Gentry was an educated woman from a wealthy family, but she was not the usual Southern Bell. Olivia was independent, opinionated, worked with horses and loved politics. Her weakness, however, was her brother’s best friend, Jim. The man she has loved for ages. It broke Olivia’s heart to hear that he didn’t feel the same about her. Jim made it abundantly clear to Olivia that he would never marry her. Olivia was determined to move on with her life. And, if that meant traveling to a faraway city to distance herself from the man she loved, then that was what she was going to do. There was something, though, about Jim that Olivia didn’t know. Disasters, however, have a way of changing lives, healing hearts and exposing a person’s true feelings. For This Moment is an enjoyable romance, well-written and captivating.
