The bed is brass, covered with a patchwork quilt, and “nice and firm,” Michael says, “in case you’re interested.”

Katherine is interested.

Until the summer separates them, and Katherine meets Theo. But she and Michael are truly in love. That means forever. Right? This book was a great read. It kept you wanting more. It has some really relatable topics such as teen pregnancy, suicide, sex, and love. Things that teens such as my self and my peers go through on a daily basis at school. As old as this book is it still can guide us through these tough scenarios now a days, is by far one of the strongest things that keep you engaged. I love Judy Blume but this book knocked some of my favorites off the chart!

So the book overall has a great flow as it describes the struggles of a teenage girl falling in love, family issues etc. However, the ending leaves you hanging. I wish there would have been more to it then just a simply breakup after the whole book was based on their relationship. I was like seriously? ... In spite of the horrible ending, I felt somehow connected to Katherine, the main character as she struggles to maintain and mature relationship not only with her boyfriend but with her family as well
