Elaine Levine -- Freedom Code (Sleeper SEALs - Book 11) The Sleeper SEALs are former U.S. Navy SEALs recruited by a new counterterror division to handle solo dark ops missions to combat terrorism on U.S. soil.
While I read this book when it came out, I am now taking the time to write a review. I love Ms. Levine’s writing skills and typically purchase all her Military Romance books. This one was written in her heart-stopping, an action-packed style that keeps you turning pages (Or Kindle equivalent) until you finish the story in one sitting no matter the time on the clock. When a CIA agent is found beheaded in a Boulder, Colorado alley, just hours after speaking to an informant, retired Navy SEAL Levi Jones is activated to find his killer. The informant herself (Zaida0 is a suspected co-conspirator, but Levi has to rely on her to get him inside the close-knit community. Zaida, a romance writer who is confident and tough. Levi, a handsome and sexy Ex-Navy Seal, believes that Zaida sold out his friend and got him beheaded by ISIS. In reality, Zaida has been conducting covert missions and in turn, the terrorist group, ISIS, puts out a FATWA against her. The handsome, hard-hearted man who shows up seems to have stepped right out of one of her novels, but Zaida quickly figures out that Levi Jones hasn't come to bring her fantasies to life, or even to help her. He's there to avenge the death of her friend, whom he thinks she sold out.
Each book in this multi-author branded series is a standalone novel, and the series does not have to be read in order. Don’t miss Ms. Levi’s Freedom Code-Sleeper Seals book 11. Her writing style is always action packed with white-hot passion.
