JOHN DURANGO & MADELINE VIGNY: Stubbornness sure brought out confusion and assumptions for these two friends turned lovers! He's a wealthy rancher/oilman and she's a successful published mystery novelist. His obstinate character echoed as much in his pugnacious determination as did her deeply-set independence and fierce self-sufficiency! Ms. Palmer writes narration, description and humor into conversations expertly. A lovely, light-hearted read; well, except for the ten foot rattlers in the bunkhouses!
