About this eBook

Welcome to Fundamentals of MOSFET! This is a nonfiction science book which contains various topics on fundamentals of MOSFET. The most common type of field-effect transistor is the metal-oxide semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) which is based on the voltage applied to the gate terminal, they act as electrical switches and amplifiers, controlling the amount of electricity that can flow between the source and drain terminals. Most discrete transistors, digital logic, integrated circuits (IC), and thin-film transistor (TFT) LCDs are based on MOSFET technology. They are the workhorse of modern electronics and the most manufactured item in history. A MOSFET is made up of four terminals: the source, drain, gate, and base. The base is typically connected to the source terminal. Positive or negative doped semiconductors are used for the substrate, source, and drain. MOSFET can control the amount of electricity that can flow between their source and drain terminals, based on the voltage applied to their gate terminal. This can be used as a switch to turn another circuit or other transistors on and off, forming the foundation of digital logic. They can also be used as signal amplifiers and to vary the amount of conductivity in analog circuits. Power MOSFETs are used in circuits to control high current or power. Single transistors are frequently packaged as discrete components. These are frequently found in switching power supplies and motor controllers. This is the first edition of the book. Thanks for reading the book.
