Acerca deste libro electrónico

You would never be more wrong if you thought that fungi were not important in the forest. It is not only important; it is vital for a healthy and clean environment. Fungi build a subway system providing all kinds of benefits to plants, trees, and other living organisms. Remove fungi, and the forest would perish.

Mushrooms, bracket fungi, and puffballs are fascinating as they are beautiful. These often come in elaborate colors and textures. Some grow up overnight; others grow so slowly as hardly measurable with a ruler.

More than 40 full-color photographs for a visual delight.
